Church Night Together

Every Wednesday night at 5:30 pm during the school year, we gather at the Fellowship Hall. A meal is served and Bible Studies begin afterwards. Youth Group and Children's Group meet, play games and make crafts to learn more about Christ. All are welcome.

United Methodist Men

The ministry of men in the local church is defined as a core group of men, partnering with their pastor, to invite and initiate spiritual growth opportunities for all men of the church. Everyone has different gifts, graces and areas of interest. Therefore, opportunities for participation would include diverse ministries of the church, such as prayer groups, missions, Bible studies, retreats, workshops/seminars, small groups in the Wesleyan tradition, leading and participating on committees, teaching Sunday school classes, youth ministries, scouting, mentoring and assisting in leading worship service. The focus is not inward, concentrating only on those who attend a set meeting, but outward to all men, assisting them to engage the process of spiritual growth.

Missions

The St. Francisville United Methodist Church Missions Committee seeks to be an extension of God’s love not only in our community but in our nation and throughout the world.  As the Body of Christ we participate in the United Methodist Church's outreach across all boundaries that divide the human family.  We share the belief that everyone is called to take an active part in the ministry of Jesus Christ.  Because of our belief in this calling the Missions Committee sends people in service areas and disburses funds to help meet the physical and spiritual needs of all people in the name of Jesus Christ.

Please contact the church office at 225 - 635 - 3763 to inquire about mission opportunities.

Thanksgiving Meals Mission

PREP & DELIVERY

  • Thanksgiving morning at 8:00 am

Join the Missions Committee and sign up or show up to help prepare and deliver Thanksgiving meals. Each year SFUMC provides over 400 meals to those in need in our parish. If you can’t be there to help on Thanksgiving Day, sign up to prepare 2 dozen individually wrapped dessert items like the pumpkin bars below but feel free to bring another homemade dessert of your choosing.  You can bring them by the fellowship hall the Wednesday before.
